EMD is one of the key materials of Hg free alkaline Zn/MnO2 battery. The performance of this special EMD were introduced in this paper. Because of advanced processing technology, this special EMD have the advantage of high chemical purity and apparent specific gravity、 good crystal construction and particle distribution and so on. The experiment result showed that the batteries made of this special EMD has good discharge performance in any discharge condition.
