Abstract:The state and development trends of battery market for HEV applications were described. The two types of design for HEV and technical requirement for batteries needed to HEV power sources were stated; The current status , the key problems and application prospects of high power density lead - acid battery, Ni-MH battery, as well as the Li - ion battery for HEV were introduced.
